Come Play Video Games for free: Bigger and back for it's second year, Dare Protoplay is a video games extravaganza supported by Channel 4 and BAFTA, where you can play and judge new games designed by the stars of the future. Free event for all ages agaes. Last year's visitors said: "Splendid fun for all the family. What a great way to spend a day". "Good range of games, lots of new ideas". "It was educational as well as fun". Mainly came for a day out for the family. I found it very interesting myself". Free entry, 10 - 12 August, 10am - 6pm. Dare ProtoPlay 2008 at the EICC
Dare ProtoPlay is a video games extravaganza where the public can play and vote for their favourite new games designed by the gaming stars of the future. Bigger and back for its second year, Dare ProtoPlay 2008 was held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in August and attracted around 3,000 people. There was also 2 nights of top music at ProtoPlay with Scottish bands 'The Hazey Janes' and 'Big Big Sound' playing in the evening.
The winners of the ProtoPlay Audience Award were Contrived with their game Grav.
