This is the starting point for a Dare to Grow application. To begin your application please select an option from below:
Eligibility
To be eligible you must have participated as a team member on Dare to be Digital in 2006, 2007 or 2008. Applicants from previous years should not have had significant employment periods in the games industry (the primary reason for allowing 2006 and 2007 participants to be involved is because some teams are composed of students rather than graduates). You will need to be available for full time work from 1 October2008 for up to six months, although the actual placement may take place at any time between 1 October 2008 and 30 May 2009 and be of variable duration.
Applying
Before you apply you should have a discussion and briefing from the Dare to Grow Project Co-ordinator who will fill give you a reference number for the form. You may nominate one or more applicants from other disciplines to be paired up with you (e.g. artist with programmer) or we can also suggest pairings where possible. You must complete a full application for each individual applicant. Apply on line before 31 August 2008.
Assessment of applictions
We will assess all the applications with staff at Abertay University and NESTA and find the best match of interns to companies / projects and we will aim to let you know the outcome of your application as soon as possible and in any event by 31 October 2008.
