Awards Ceremony 2009
The Dare to be Digital 2009 Awards were held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Sunday 16th August 2009, immediately following the last day of Dare ProtoPlay. It was the first year that the Awards were opened up to the general public. Hosted by none other than Dare's Project Director Paul Durrant, the awards ceremony showed a short film of the seventy Dare student's experiences in the hothouse at Abertay University and held the eagerly awaited prize giving!
The three main prizes which carried equal status and (in no particular order) were awarded to:
- Gentlemen Of Fortune for Quick as Thieves
- Pixel Pirates for Colour Colour Coded
- The Butterflyers for Shrunk!
The winners of the three main prizes (pictured above right) represent the short list for the 2010 BAFTA Ones to Watch Award, which will take place in London next year.
In addition to the three main prizes, the following were also awarded:
- Intel Visual Adrenaline Award - awarded to Inertia Interactive for Ballistic
- Dare ProtoPlay Audience Award - awarded to Five Armed Bandits for Quick as Thieves
- The Dare Teams Choice Award (chosen by the teams themselves) - awarded to The Butterflyers for Shrunk!.

Awards Ceremony 2008
The Dare to be Digital 2008 Awards were held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Wednesday 13th August 2008. Hosted by TV presenter Michelle Watt, it premiered the film of the students development and experiences across the 5 different host centres throughout the 10 weeks and awarded the prizes.

The three main prizes carried equal status and (in no particular order) were awarded to:
- Blue Skies for Origamee
- Ctrl_D for Vege Me
- DarkMatter Designs for Boro Toro
The ProtoPlay Audience Award went to Contrived for their game Grav.
The winners of the three main prizes represented the short list for the 2009 BAFTA Ones to Watch Award, which took place in London in March 2009. The ultimate winner was DarkMatter Designs, for Boro Toro.

Awards Ceremony 2007
The Awards Ceremony was held in Dundee on Thursday 16th August 2007 at Abertay University. The awards ceremony, hosted by TV presenter Michelle Watt, celebrated the talent, effot and outstanding achievements of the 60 students who took part across 3 hosting centres in the UK. As well as showing a film of the students experiences throughout the 10 week competition, it also announced the following winners:
Commercial Potential - Ragnarawk by Voodoo Boogy
Innovation and Creativity - Bear Go Home by Phoenix Seed
Use of Technology - Climbactic by Carebox
The winners of these 3 awards represented the shortlist for the first ever BAFTA Ones to Watch Award which took place in London in October 2007, and was ultimately won by Voodoo Boogy for their game Ragnarawk.
The Dare ProtoPlay Audience Award was also won by Voodoo Boogy for Ragnarawk.
